A French verge pocket watch with enamel painting and a very rare “hypnotic” balance, visible through the dial, circa 1800.
Silver case with maker’s punch CAHD. Full plate movement with regulation on back, floral engraving and verge escapement. Polychrome painted enamel dial, below the minutes and hours and above visible through the dial a spiral shaped verge bridge with pulsating balance, what gives a hypnotic effect.
