Gold repoussé verge pocket watch

A very fine English, 22K gold, repoussé pair cased pocket watch, circa 1775. Isaac, Rebecca & Eliezer by William Rivers, London. Made for the Dutch market. The inner case with London hallmarks for 1775, and the outer case is repoussé, depicting Isaac, Rebecca & Eliezer in an asymmetrical rococo cartouche, pierced and lined with a gold sheet from behind, bezel decorated to match. A polished inner case, master mark DP. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer arcaded minute track, five-minute Arabic numerals. Gold Louis XV hands. A hinged, frosted gilt full-plate movement with square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance with flat balance spring, pierced and engraved continental type cock, silver regulation dial. Dial and movement signed.
