Gold open faced gentlemen’s watch

A fine German 14 carat pink gold open faced keyless pocket watch made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, circa 1907. The polished case with an engraved foliate monogram on the back and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Breguet hour numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, sunk center and gold spade hands. A frosted gilt ¾ plate movement with 15 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, gold escape wheel and pallet fork, banking with a single pin in a pinhole, a cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring and swan neck micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
