A fine German gentleman’s Glashütte pocket watch with an unusual case design, circa 1898.
The watch has a 14k pink gold casing with an engine-turned design called Gloria Ray. The casing is monogrammed and has a gold dome. The dial is enamel and has Arabic numerals in the Empire style. The watch also has an auxiliary seconds hand and gold Breguet hands. The movement is a 3/4 plate with a frosted, gilt finish and is signed. It includes a gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring, index spring fine adjusting device, and a gold lever and escape wheel.
