A very fine gentleman’s Glashütte pocket watch – manufactured in quality 1A, circa 1898.
Polished, à goutte, 18-carat gold case with engraved counts coat of arms and crown, gold dome with presentation engraving: “Zum Andenken an den 7. August 1873 und 1898” and glazed movement. Signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, and gold Louis XV hands. Signed, frosted, gilt 3/4 plate movement with screwed gold chatons, gold screw compensation balance, florally hand-engraved balance cock, index spring fine adjusting device, gold lever and escape wheel, and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
