A gentleman’s very fine and early Glashütte pocket watch with chronograph – manufactured in quality 1A, circa 1881.
18-carat gold dial, engine-turned, monogrammed, à goutte, with a florally engraved gold dome.  Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued spade hands. 3/4 plate movement, frosted, gilt, with screwed gold chatons, very finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, gold screw compensation balance, florally hand-engraved balance cock, gold lever and escape wheel and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
