A very fine and early Glashütte gentleman’s pocket watch with chronograph – manufactured in quality 1A, circa 1881.
18-carat gold, engine-turned, monogrammed, à goutte case with a florally engraved gold dome. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, and blued spade hands. 3/4 plate movement, frosted and gilt, with screwed gold chatons, very finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, gold screw compensation balance, florally hand-engraved balance cock, gold lever and escape wheel, and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
