Extremely rare neck watch with hour-striking mechanism

An extremely rare large gilt metal German octagonal Renaissance clock with striking mechanism and maker’s mark MB, probably referring Matthäus Buschmann who worked in Augsburg, Germany, circa 1580 – 1600.
The open faced octagonal case of this watch is pierced and has a bell and its silver enamelled dial with Roman hour numerals from one to twelve and Arabic ones from thirteen to twenty four has iron hands. The octagonal movement has a stackfreed, spoon balance and striking the hour.
