Gunmetal quality 1A chronograph with register
–
A chronograph pocket watch with register made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1894. The movement of this watch is re-housed in a gunmetal case, as the original gold full hunter case was probably melted during hard times. The original white enamel dial features black Arabic hours, an outer minute track, red Arabic five minute numerals, outermost fifth of a second divisions, a subsidiary dial for the auxiliary seconds at 6 o’clock, a 30 minute register at 12 and the original gold hands. The numbered quality 1A movement is fitted with a lever escapement, gold chronograph wheels, a gold escape wheel, gold lever, diamond end stone, screwed gold chatons and a fine adjusting device.
The dial and movement are signed.
