Silver open faced precision watch

A rare dress watch with original presentation box and papers made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1950. The numbered, open faced and plain case of this watch was crafted from graduated silver, and the fine black enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and the original syringe hands. The numbered movement is fitted with a Glashütte precision lever escapement and fine adjustment.
Dial signed A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte i/SA and presentation box signed Lange VEB-Glashütte.
