Large pocket watch with champlevé dial

A large pocket watch, made by Valentin Stos in Ulm, Germany, circa 1730. The paired case of this watch is crafted from silver and has an outer case which is splendidly engraved with tendrils, various animals and a view on a castle in the center and the inner case is plain. The champlevé dial has Arabic five minute- and Roman hour numerals and gilt hands and the movement has an early verge escapement.
Dial and movement are signed.
