A technically very interesting, german pair cased verge watch with 1/8 repeater and alarm by signed Peter Barth Lübeck, circa 1730. A silver paircased, very nice first case with wave like engraving and fine sound opening, pierced second case decorated with tendrils, cartouches with grotesque face, bell, very complicated verge movement repeating hours, quarters and 1/8 hours; alarm, 2 barrels for the movement and alarm, plate signed, enameled chapter ring, central brass alarm disc, probably original iron hands, good condition.
