Lever watch in silver case with gold hinges

A large precision pocket watch made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1900. The numbered case of this watch was crafted from silver and has concealed gold hinges. The original white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold Louis XIV hands. The numbered movement has an A. Lange & Söhne precision lever escapement, a gold lever, gold escape wheel and fine adjusting device.
Case and movement have matching numbers, dial, case and movement are signed.
