An English centre seconds fusee lever by Frodsham in a gold open-faced case, hallmarked London circa 1868. Gilt three quarter plate keywind movement with fusee and chain. Harrison’s maintaining power. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator and diamond endstone. Compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, escape, lever and centre seconds pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 18-carat open-faced case, monogram on the back cover. Wound and set through the gold dome. Maker’s mark ‘JB’ in an oval and number corresponding to that on the movement.
