An English keyless reverse fusee free-sprung lever with power reserve in an 18-carat gold half hunter case, hallmarked London 1881. Gilt half-plate keyless movement with fusee and chain. Harrison’s maintaining power. Plain cock with diamond endstone. Compensation balance with quarter timing nuts, free-sprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English double roller lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling, including the fusee, the escape wheel and lever under a bridge, their pivots with endstones. White enamel dial with subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel half hunter hands. Substantial case with blue enamel chapter ring, two fly springs to the front cover. Winding and set apertures to the plain gold cuvette. Maker’s mark ‘PW’ in an oval and number corresponding to that on the movement.
