A French gentleman’s extremely rare, very fine “Montre à Tact” with original silk lined morocco case No. 3929 and spare glass, 18k gold and silver case, engine turned, à goutte, numbered and signed gold dome, case maker’s punch mark “MAB”, silver band with raised gold touch studs, the back cover with applied “à tact” gold arrow. Silver dial, engine turned, peripheral chapter ring with radial Roman numerals, gold Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, early lever escapement, bimetallic gold screw balance.
