An 18-carat yellow gold, key winding, round-shaped, Directoire pocket watch with open face and hinged case back, circa 1790-1800.
This watch has two horological complications: – Quarter repeater à toc (activated by depressing the pendant) – Date of the month. The dial is enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minutes track with fifteen minutes numerals, date of the month (exterior graduation with central hand) in red, and decorative hands. And the movement is a full plate, gilded brass movement with fusee and chain, verge escapement, monometallic balance (gilded brass), and blued steel flat hairspring.
