English gold quarter repeating verge pocket watch Circa 1704

Pierced, engraved and chased gold watch, the dial set with table-cut diamonds and emeralds, quarter repeating movement, signed by George Etherington, circa 1704-1705. With casemaker’s mark ‘ID’ attributed to James Delander, with London hallmarks for 1704-1705. Gold dial, diamonds and emeralds, Roman numerals, Arabic numerals outer. Full plate fire gilt movement, pre balance spring watch, pierced and engraved balance cock.
