A rare and unusual French 18 carat gold and seed pearl set key wind open faced pocket watch with enamel decoration and virgule escapement, circa 1800. Rare virgule escapement, plain 3-arm balance, unusual wheel bridge set up. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, black outer minute divisions, gilt hands.
Hinged round case, blue enamel to reverse with riverside scene, seed pearl set bezels, blue and white enamel decorated stem. Signed cuvette.
