Original silver chronometer pocket watch

A large, early and numbered pocket chronometer, made by John Gaskin in Dublin, Ireland, circa 1796. The pair cased open faced and plain case was crafted from original silver and has Hallmarks from 1796. The enamel dial has black Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial with black Arabic numerals and gold hands. The very fine movement has a chronometer escapement, a helical hairspring and a diamond end stone.
The movement is signed.
