French silver and gilt brass oignon pocket watch with striking mechanism, circa 1700. This watch has a cocked movement with verge escapement and strikes on a bell. It features a white enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, a radial minutes track with Arabic five minute numerals, and blued steel hands. The case is smooth. The watch is missing the trigger ring.
