A large, Swiss silver-gilt and pearl-set open faced key-winding pocket watch with centre seconds, circa 1890-1910. Made for the Chinese market.
Gilded brass Chinese style movement, going barrel, lateral equilibrated lever escapement, blued steel wings balance. White enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes and seconds track with Arabic fifteen-minute numerals, centre-seconds hand, and original blued pear hands. Round-shaped gilt metal engine turned case, both bezels set with pearls.
