French gold double dialled calendar pocket watch Circa 1770

A French gold centre seconds double dialled calendar watch with moon phases, circa 1770. Cylinder escapement. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, gold beetle and poker hands, blued steel centre seconds hand, gilt rear dial, the centre engraved with the days of the week, aperture at 12 for phases and ages of the moon, aperture at 2 for year indication, aperture at 4 for month with number of corresponding days, regulator sector, aperture for date, dial for division of the day into four parts. The bezels engraved with equation of time and length of the day, diamond set pushpiece and bow. Dial signed ‘Tavernier A Paris’.
