A highly important and unique German 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating perpetual calendar single button double chronograph keyless lever watch with moon phases, circa 1889. Quality 1A nickel finished fully jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance with gold poising screws, gold lever and escape wheel, finely engraved floral and scroll decorated gold balance bridge, swan neck regulator with diamond endstone, minute repeating on two steel hammers onto two gongs, glazed dust cover. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial, outer red Arabic 13 – 24 hour and inner black Arabic 1 – 12 hour indication, gold Louis XV hands, four sunk subsidiary dials indicating month and leap year, day, date and moon phases with moon phases, lunar calendar and constant seconds. Heavy Louis XV case, engraved scroll and foliage decorated covers, the front centred by the initials AS, a trophy of love to the back, repeating slide and chronograph button in the band. Case, cuvette and movement signed and numbered, dial signed. Comes with the original box.
