A French gold hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch with unusual lever escapement, circa 1830. Polished steel lateral lever escapement with elongated lever arm, the fork engaging a locking pin on the balance pivot, blued steel flat balance. Signed and numbered engine turned gold cuvette. White enamel dial, acid etched centre with foliate scrolls and Roman numerals. Engine turned case, chased flower and scroll bands, pendant and bow, pull and twist piston in the pendant. Cuvette signed ‘Pere Bouhelier.
