An English gold, diamond, sapphire and emerald set pair cased quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1780. Gilt brass full plate movement, fusee and chain, cylindrical pillars, verge escapement, plain three armed balance, English type cock, repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer 5 minute Arabic numerals. Front and back covers with ruby, sapphire and diamond stones, the case chased and pierced with flowers decoration, gilded dust cap. Cuvette and movement signed.
