An English 20 carat gold pair-cased repoussé verge pocket watch, circa 1720. Gilt full plate movement, verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance cock, fusee and chain. Gold champlevé dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, beetle and poker hands. Plain gold inner case with engraved dedication: Johanna Lups geb van Arnhem 1768,  repoussé outer case with a scene depicting Diogenes and Alexander the Great. Dial signed.
