A very rare and highly unusual Swiss 18 carat gold open faced lever pocket watch, circa 1908. Sold on 21 October 1911. Lever movement, 18 jewels. Cuvette engraved Charles F. Flage Portland Maine from His Loving Wife Christmas 1911. Two-tone gilt dial with Breguet hours and outer minute divisions, engine-turned in the centre, subsidiary seconds. Finely engraved case, the back with a chimaera to the centre. Dial signed, case, cuvette and movement signed and numbered. Comes with an Extract from the Archives confirming the production of this watch in 1908.
