A French 18 carat gold double-dialled cylinder pocket watch with mock pendulum, circa 1780. Gilt movement, cylinder escapement. One dial white enamel with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, the other off-white enamel also with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, blued steel background with applied varicoloured gold classical decoration, pillars, cascading bow and an urn of flowers, aperture displaying the mock pendulum. The case with engraved geometric decoration.
