An English 18 carat gold half-hunting cased lever pocket watch, circa 1879. Gilt ¾-plate movement, lever escapement, jewelled, bimetallic balance. Cream enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, blued steel hands. Engine-turned case, blue enamel Roman chapter ring on the front, the back with monogrammed cartouche, London Hallmark for 1879, stamped HMF for Harrison Mill Frodsham. Dial and movement signed and numbered, case numbered.
