A French silver and enamel open faced key-wound verge pocket watch, circa 1830. Gilt finished full plate verge movement, chain fusée, pierced cock balance, rounded pilasters. White enamel dial with Roman numerals. Engine turned and engraved case with aperture to the case back, revealing a polychrome enamel young woman with a basket and two kittens, hinged case back opens to reveal erotic scene, floral and scroll motif surround, geometric design to the band, plain bezel. Case numbered and stamped with casemaker’s marks FD.
