A Belgium lady’s ornamental, diamond studded gold and enamel pendant watch decorated with the coat of arms of the royal house of Bourbon, circa 1880.
18 Carat gold case, translucent cobalt blue enamel over an engine turned ground, engraved Fleur-de-Lys ornamentation set with old cut diamonds. White enamel dial, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, decorative hands. Bridge movement, screw compensation balance.

The Belgian watchmaker Johannes Petrus Hubertus Kreitz (Jean Pierre Hubert Kreitz) was born in 1823. Kreitz was active around 1860 in Antwerp (Anvers) as a watchmaker and watch dealer. He signed his watches “H. Kreitz, Anvers”. Joannes Petrus Hubertus Kreitz died around 1900.
