An American lever in a 14 carat gold full hunter case, circa 1875. Damascened nickelled three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, screwed in jewelling. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman and Arabic numerals and blue steel hands. Plain case with ribbed middle. Maker’s mark ‘E. H. & Co.’ in a rectangle. Plain gold cuvette and glazed cover to the movement.
