A probably Swiss astronomical gold hunting cased pocket watch with quarter repeater and chronograph, circa 1910, made for the Russian market.
Gilt lever movement with fine adjustment, six complications: quarter repeater; chronograph; triple calendar; moon phase. Enamel dial with Arabic radial hours, outer minutes/seconds track with Arabic 25 seconds numerals, chronograph; subsidiary dial for the constant seconds at 6; date of the month, subsidiary dial at 12; phases of the moon aperture at 6; names of the months, subsidiary dial at 3 o’clock; day of the week, subsidiary dial at 9 o’clock, and pink gold Louis XV-style hands. 18K gold case, both sides with applied plaques representing Russian lady’s portraits, dome marked Chanteclair Repeater.
