The watch movement is not operational. There is a scratch between the 11 and 12 markers, along with abrasions on the engine turning. The cuvette has a shallow dent, and the signature shows some rubbing. Small nicks are present on the case band and the reeding of the case. Service marks are visible inside the case, and the gold marks are worn.

Abraham Louis Breguet introduced the Souscription Watch series to help revive his business following the French Revolution. Clients would initially pay a quarter of the 600 Livres cost upon ordering, covering material expenses, and then pay the remaining balance upon delivery. The first watch in this series was initiated in 1794 and delivered in 1796.
