Pocket watch from aristocratic property

A rare calendar pocket watch with moon phase display that comes from aristocratic property in the original sales box and was made by “Kaiserliche Türkische Hoflieferanten” (Imperial Turkish Court Suppliers) J. Verhagen in Cologne, Germany, circa 1884. The open faced case was crafted from iron and has a gold crown, a back cover with a monogram and a spring cover function, to be triggered via the crown, which shows the patented full calendar. The white enamel dial on the front has Arabic hour numerals, moon phase display in the center, a subsidiary seconds dial at six o’clock and red gold hands. The movement has a Swiss lever escapement.
