Silver open faced verge pocket watch by Markwick

A English silver pair cased hour striking and trip hour repeating clock watch, circa 1750.
The watch features a gilded movement, signed Markwick, London with a verge escapement, fusee and chain, a plain flat steel balance, a decoratively pierced and engraved balance cock, a silver regulation plate. It also has a standing barrel for the strike and repeat train, along with a single hammer striking a bell mounted to the inside case back.

Silver champlevé dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, black outer minute track with Arabic numeral 5 minute markers, blued steel beetle and poker style hands.
Engraved inner case with pierced sound frets, pierced and engraved repousse outer case depicting a classical scene featuring Cupid. Dial and movement signed.
