Very fine 18K yellow gold minute repeating pocket watch, circa 1902. Accompanied by the original fitted box and Certificate. Made for Shreve Crump & Low Co. A polished case, concealed hinge and an engraved hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds dial and blued steel spade hands. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed, cuvette and movement also signed by the retailer.
