Gold hunting cased repeater by Patek Philippe
–
A Swiss yellow gold hunting cased pocket watch with five minute repeater, circa 1902. Retailed by Tiffany & Co. 1903. This watch features a 17″” ligne movement signed by Tiffany & Co., showcasing Geneva striping and a lever escapement. The white enamel dial, also signed by Tiffany & Co., includes Dauphine numerals, an outer minutes track with red Arabic numerals for five minute markers, a subsidiary dial for seconds, and blued spade hands. The case is made of 18k yellow gold and has a hinged back. It is monogrammed with JFC, and the cuvette bears a personal inscription that reads Harold from Frances, February 25, 1911. A Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirms that the movement and dial were sold separately on September 28, 1903.
