A Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased grande complication watch with perpetual calendar, moon phases, chronograph and minute repeater made by Breguet, circa 1902. It has a white enamel dial with stylized Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals, outermost fifth of a second divisions and Breguet hands, three further subsidiary dials displaying the months with leap year, the date and days of the week, a 30 minute counter and small seconds with an aperture for the moon phases. The present watch, which bears the princely family crest in relief on the cover and is in good condition, is a very fine example of the grande complication watch produced by Breguet in the early 20th century. Apart from the display of the hours, minutes and fifth of a seconds, this exceptional timepiece has eight complications, viz:
1. Minute repeater
2. Chronograph
3. 30 minute counter
4. Perpetual calendar
5. Days of the week
6. Date
7. Months
8. Phases and ages of the moon.

The archives of Emmanuel Breguet from Breguet SA mention a 30 minute chronograph, minute repeater, perpetual calendar and 20 lines. The Breguet certificate dated May 8, 1974 confirms the sale date and price, September 30, 1902, for Frs 4.000, as well as the provenance. It also offers a precise description: gold hunting cased pocket watch, chronograph with 30 minute totalizer, perpetual calendar, moon phases and minute repeater chime, along with details about the dial and movement: enamel dial with small second hand, Breguet gold hands, anker escapement, compensating balance, ruby holes and lifts.
