–
A very fine and rare Swiss, 18K gold and painted on enamel, rose-cut diamond and pearl-set musical harp. Attributed to Piguet et Capt, Geneva. Front of the soundboard painted on enamel with an allegory of Music, the sides with an applied gold quiver of arrows within pearl-set frames on translucent Imperial blue enamel over flinqué background.

The pegs for the gold strings set with rose-cut diamonds, the column and the capital in champlevé enamel terminated with pearl-set rosette, safety catch to prevent accidental opening of the musical movement. Triangular, gilt full plate movement, cylindrical pillars, barillet type with fifteen tuned steel teeth, five-wheel train, interesting speed regulation by means of a small pin protruding through the case, changing the position of the last pinion bushing. Property of a European Collector.
