Silver watch with engraved train decoration

A very fine Swiss silver railway man’s pocket watch with engraved decoration, circa 1912. A solid, polished case, screw down bezel with a serrated top edge, and back engraved with a steam engine travelling over a bridge. White enamel dial with bold black radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, and an index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. This watch is sold with a box and certificate of authenticity.
