A rare and fine Swiss silver open faced U.S. Navy deck watch with 36 hour power reserve made by Longines Watch Co, circa 1912. The tiered polished case has the military engraving U.S. Navy. No 4074. on the back. The signed silvered dial has bold Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, 36 power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock, sunk auxiliary seconds at 6 and blued spade hands. The rhodium plated ¾ plate movement has Geneva striping decoration, 17 jewels, five adjustments, a lever escapement, chatoned center wheel, gold screw compensation balance and cam type fine adjusting device.
