A rare Swiss gentleman’s pocket watch with regulator dial and compass, circa 1820.
Gilt, tiered and polished case with reeded band and pendant. Enamel dial with eccentric hour chapter ring with Arabic numerals, glazed auxiliary seconds at “12”, outer minute chapter ring with Arabic numerals and filigree hands. Full plate movement, keywind, with applied engine turned silver plate, glazed compass rose and glazed three-arm brass balance with pierced balance bridge.
