An excellently preserved, multicoloured golden and enamelled splendor hunting cased watch, probably present watch of the Russian Tsar, Pavel Buhre, circa 1900. A 14K pink gold, engine turned, spring lid with applied Tsar eagle in gold, very detailed worked and partly enamelled, dust lid signed and numbered, Cyrillic inscription: “Pavel Buhre im Auftrag seiner Hoheit” no.41974, Ankerchronometer movement of very fine quality, Geneva striping, wolf’s toothing, large Ankerchronometer balance, flawless enamel dial, blued steel hands, in excellent condition. The special feature of the watch, apart from its quality, is its perfect condition. It is by far the best preserved Russian “Tsar watch”.
