A Swiss gold and enamel open faced four motion automaton watch, circa 1810 (and later). Gilt full plate movement. Gilt metal cuvette engraved with details of the watch. Eccentric white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, flanked by gold floral tendrils, against a polychrome enamel classical landscape with a water mill, the foreground fitted with colored gold figures of the automata, comprising a rotating glass rod simulating a stream, centered by the revolving water wheel, flanked by a boy fishing on the right, his arm jerks up to reveal a hooked fish, the right with a man seated on a horse, the horse drinks from the stream, the foreground further chased with boy watching the scene. Now in later gold case.
