A fine Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless pocket watch, circa 1919. Retailed by a l’Emeraude, Lausanne. Cal. 17”’ manual winding jewelled gilt lever movement. Two-tone silver dial, applied gold baton indexes, subsidiary seconds and outer minute track. Polished case, cuvette engraved ‘A L’EMERAUDE, LAUSANNE’, snap on back. Case, dial and movement signed. With a certificate of origin and Extract from the Archives confirming sale on May 19th 1922 and mentioning an enamel dial.

This watch was born with an enamel dial which was changed by its owner to the Patek Philippe silvered two tone dial in the 40’s to give it a more appealing appearance.
