A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless chronograph pocket watch with pulsometer made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1916. The jewelled manual winding nickel movement is stamped with the seal of Geneva, has a moustache lever escapement and cut bimetallic compensation balance. A gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, an outer minute and fifth of a second track with five minute numerals, outermost red pulsometer scale calibrated for 30 pulsations, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a 30 minute counter and blued hands. A polished case. Case, dial, movement and cuvette signed. Comes with an Extract from the Archives confirming the sale on December 31, 1938.
