Swiss silver cylinder watch with unusual masked dial Circa 1890

A large Swiss silver open faced cylinder pocket watch, circa 1890. Extensively engraved keyless gilt bar movement with going barrel, engraved cock with polished steel regulator, plain three armed gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, polished steel cylinder and steel escape wheel. Nickle cuvette engraved Remontouir – Metal. Unusual cream enamel dial, small white chapter ring with Roman hours, subsidiary seconds, in the centre a polychrome floral spray, broad border overlaid by a pierced and engraved gilt mask set with coloured cabochons, pierced gilt hands. Chased bezels, the case back decoratively engraved.
