A rare thin, French 18K gold and champleve enamel digital pocket watch with jump-hours, circa 1830. A hinged and sprung back cover decorated with black enamel and chased gold foliage and white flowers, bezel decorated to match. Hinged gold cuvette. Silver dial, large minutes dial with 15-minute numerals, engine-turned, aperture for the jump-hours above with Arabic numerals. Blued steel minute hand. A Lepine calibre, frosted gilt, jewelled cylinder escapement, plain three-arm gold balance, flat-blued steel balance spring, index regulator.
